How to Use Strawberries in Facial Treatments

Strawberries make an excellent skin cleanser and mask because they contain Vitamin C, salicylic acid, antioxidants and exfoliants. Salicylic acid sloughs dead skin cells from the face as it tightens pores and brightens skin. Antioxidants combat skin damage to keep skin looking young and fresh. Strawberries also exfoliate the skin and remove impurities while keeping skin soft. They soothe skin bothered by allergies or other irritants. Strawberries are even reported to help skin stay strong against environmental stress like pollution and the elements, and also whiten skin. Raw honey and milk are often used in strawberry facial masks and cleansers as each removes impurities and softens and exfoliates skin.
