How to Make Spaghetti Meatball

Even though they are called spaghetti meatballs there is no meat in it, they get the name from the shape that the spaghetti takes after they are done. This recipe makes for four servings:

Instructions

things you'll need:

  • 1 pound of spaghetti (about two packages)
  • 1/3 of a pound of ham (cut into pieces)
  • 1 fresh mozzarella (diced)
  • 3 eggs
  • ½ cup of Emmenthal (Swiss) cheese
  • 2 tablespoons of butter
  • 3 tablespoons of bread crumbs
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • A pinch of salt and pepper
  • A wooden spoon
    • 1
Take the spaghetti and break them in halves and cook them for about five minutes (a minute less than what the package instruction say), drain them and set them aside while they cool down.
    • 2
Next take the ham, the cheeses, the eggs and a pinch of salt and pepper in the same bowl that you left the spaghetti in and then with the wooden spoon mix the ingredients in the bowl together, and shape them into balls and lightly press on them.
    • 3
Now add the bread crumbs and roll them tighter, then in a skillet add the butter and the olive oil on low heat for three minutes.
    • 4
Add the spaghetti balls to the skillet and let them cook for one to two minutes, turning them occasionally. Then remove them and place them on an absorbent napkin before serving.
