Facts from All over the World
We are all human beings, we eat food that falls from a tree, drink water that comes out of a river, and our bodies are all made out of the same thing. 
We inhabit this world, not knowing that we could all be very much alike in many ways for example, we all seek happiness, success, and love.

Whether you’re in Africa, Americas, or even Australia, you and I aren’t that much different.
This week’s facts are meant to point out differences rather than similarities, check them out:


1 - Only 55 percent of all Americans know that the sun is a star.

2 - It is illegal to throw knives at men wearing striped suits in Natoma, Kansas.

3 - Kids as young as 15 years old can be jailed for cheating on their final exams in Bangladesh.

4 - Tipping in a restaurant in Iceland is considered an insult.

5 - The Main Library at Indiana University sinks over an inch every year because when it was built, engineers failed to take into account the weight of all the books that would occupy the building.

6 - Jalapeno’s were named after the town of Jalapa in Mexico, but are no longer commercially grown there. They are the first pepper to be taken into space.

7 - In Uganda, the word “Matooke” is used for both "food" and "banana", since bananas are such a big part of their diet.

8 - During the construction of the Eiffel Tower in France, no one was killed. Only one person died later on during the installation of the lifts.

9 - Topless saleswomen working in tropical fish stores are legal in Liverpool England.

10 - Istanbul, Turkey is the only city in the world located on two continents.
