- 3MY GRASS TASTES LIKE COCONUT:In a separate container add green food coloring to the white shredded coconut. Stir it well so that the color is evenly distributed. The amount you add to the shredded coconut and the frosting depends on how dark you want the "grass."Optional: If you don't like coconut, you can use green sanding sugar.
- 4IT'S ALL COMING TOGETHER:Everything is now ready to be assembled. To make the Easter basket cupcakes you'll need to frost each cupcake. Once that is done you'll add some shredded coconut on top of the frosting. Add a good amount to make it look like a little nest, but not too much that it's falling off. Add the whoppers robin eggs on top of the grass. Usually three of those is enough. You can also try similar looking candy like M& M's or jellybeans.
- 5I CAN HANDLE IT:Use half a pipe cleaner for each cupcake. Arch the pipe cleaner. Insert the ends of the pipe cleaner into opposite ends of the surface of the cup... just like a handle on an Easter basket.Optional: Glue a tiny bow to the top of the pipe cleaner arch before you stick it in the cupcake.Optional: If you don't want to use pipe cleaners, you can also use licorice sticks. Cut the licorice at your desired handle length.
