How to Apply Natural Looking Eyeshadowthumbnail
A natural look makes skin look healthy and attractive.
Eyeshadow hides skin discoloration and defines the eye area in an attractive way. Some people do not like to wear a lot of eye makeup and prefer a more natural look. You can wear a natural looking eyeshadow while still hiding imperfections and accentuating your eyes. Regardless of your age or skin type, a natural eyeshadow application is a nice-looking way to show off your eyes. The more you practice your application technique the more confident you will feel about makeup application.

  • Concealer
  • Foundation
  • Two eyeshadows
  • Eyeshadow brush
  • Slanted angled eyeshadow brush
  • Brown eyeliner
  • Brown or black mascara
    • 1
Brush your eyebrows upwards and outwards. Tidy up your brows with tweezers if needed, to remove any unwanted hairs.
    • 2
Comb eyelashes with an eyelash comb. Curl up the eyelashes with an eyelash curler.
    • 3
Squirt a dab of concealer on to your fingertip. The concealer should match your skin tone closely. Tap the concealer on and around your eyelid. Smooth the concealer into the skin gently with your fingertip.
    • 4
Cover your eyelid area with your selected foundation. For the best natural look, use a mineral powder foundation or a cream to powder makeup.
    • 5
Select two eyeshadows that match your skin tone. Avoid colors that look shimmery or shiny. Colors like bone, taupe, tan and nude are good candidates for eyeshadow colors. One eyeshadow will be the base color and the other a slightly darker accent color.

Brush on the base color all over the eyelid with an eyeshadow brush. Apply the makeup from right under the eyebrow to the top of the eyelashes.
    • 7
Use a slanted angled eyeshadow brush to apply the accent color in the crease of the eye. Go light on the shadow and add more to suit your preferences if needed.
    • 8
Blend the two colors together making the colors look more natural, using an eyeshadow brush. Swirl the brush tip across the eyelid in small circular motions.
    • 9
Apply light brown eyeliner to the top of the lashes. Start at the inner corner of the eye and draw outward to the edge of your top lashes.
    • 10
